She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Brown and Pearl McKinney-Brown; her husbands, Ulysses Riles and Curtis Jordan; her stepfather Samuel Parker; and her siblings, Florence, Elsie, Viola, Annie, Dorothy, Conrad, Thomas, Stanley, Mervin, Lyle and Warren.
She is survived by: her daughter Lagreta Riles; her grandchildren, Aleta Kerr (David), Nakashia Riles, Shanna Solomon and John Solomon, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Tykwell, Davian, Davion, David, Tanasia, Malik, Jeremiah, Davire and Alexis; her sibling's children, Dianne Thompson, Mary K. Wormley (Clinton), Mary Ellen Harrison (Phillip), RoZeta Parker, Doris Toliver, Joyce Brown, Lemuel Parker, Wavery Veney, Ciballero Brown (Menia), Sylvester Brown and David Brown (Adrian); her stepchildren, Elizabeth Portee and Derrick Jordan; and her stepgrandchildren, Jordan and Lia Portee. She is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Trinity Temple (285 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Beaverdale Memorial Park (90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven, CT 06515).
