With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ivera Percival (New Haven, Connecticut), who passed away on June 3, 2021 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Theophelus Freeman and Adella Constancia Freeman; her siblings, Olonzo Freeman (Bobby), Eddie Freeman, Alcedos Freeman (Siddy) and Ada Rhymer; and her sons, Leon Vanterpool, Jr. and Joseph Vanterpool.

She is survived by : her siblings, Ida Blyden, Hilda Cline, Vaneto Percival and Angel Smith; her former life partner Leon Vanterpool; her stepchildren, Elaine Pratt, Ira Vanterpool, Carl Vanterpool, Theresa Belton, Eleanor Chavayez and Tanyah Hunter; and her husband Norwood Percival. She is also survived by siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Ivy defeated COVID-19 in 2020 before she transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021.
