He was predeceased by : his father Joseph M. Smith, Jr.; and his grandparents, Ollie Cobbs, Johnny and Letha Allen. He is survived by : his mother Lynda Edwards Allen; his daughters, S'ynce Edwards and Jah'zara Edwards; and his siblings, Joseph Smith III, Hasan Allen, Taj Edwards, Tracee Smith Hunter, Maheni Smith Foster and Neksis E. Edwards. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ (285 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
