He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rawlings and Edna Fisher Rawlings; and his sister Janice Yancey. He is survived by: his sister Leslie Costa Fortes; his wife Jennifer Rawlings; his children, Devol "Skip" Joyner, Andre Joyner, James "Jimmy" Rawlings, Jason Rawlings, Julie Rawlings-Dias and Jennifer Rawlings; and his grandchildren, Andre, Isaiah, Brooke, Miles, Maya, Dyami, Jaylyn and Bentley.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (84 Broadway, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
