It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Moye (New Haven, Connecticut), born in Ayden, North Carolina, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hudie Earl Moye and Esther Mae Thomas-Hardison; and his son Timothy Earl Evans. He is survived by: his children, James Moye Jr., Daniel Moye, Latonia Moye, Denise Ware (De'Marcus), Andrea Gaskins (Tony), Tiffany Nichols, Jamill Belton and Jimeeka Moye (Andrew); and his sisters, Dorothy Joyner of Greenville, NC, Catherine Clay Childree (Timothy) of Columbus, Georgia, Brenda Braxton of Greenville, NC and Willie Ann Bradley (Kelly) of Willingboro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
