He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Barber and Rose Barber (Fleeting); his children, Kenneth Barber and Susan Barber-Edwards; and his children-in-law, Michael Smith and Karen Barber.
He is survived by: his children, Jesse Jr., Leonard, Douglas (Andrea), Phyllis Barber-Smith, Brian and Justin (Kathesia). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Church (62 Abbe Rd, East Windsor, CT 06088). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
