We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2022, at the age of 78, John Alfred Hicks of New Haven, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Hicks, Sr. and Fannie Hicks; and his siblings, Alexander Hicks, Lester Hicks, Jr., Wilbur Hicks, Golden Hicks-Johnson, Clara Bell Hicks-Green, Mariah Mary Hicks and Hannah Hicks.
He is survived by: his spouse Alvenia Hicks; his daughter Michelle Gore-Hicks; and his grandchildren, Steven C. Haywood, Jr. of Na'Oni, M. A, Haywood of Ray'Jon, W. M and Sanders-Boyd.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is asking that well-wishers not stop by the home of Mrs. Alvenia Hicks. To continue to adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions, a repast will not be held following the memorial service.
