It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juana Custodio Díaz of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Juana Custodio had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Juana Custodio may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Calvin Mimms; her parents, Julio Custodio and Thelma Custodio (Díaz) of Santo Domingo, DR.; her children, Fiorela Mimms of New Haven, Whitney Mimms (Aldo González) of Santo Domingo, DR and Emil Pérez (Diana) of Paterson, NJ; and her siblings, Karina Custodio (Ricardo Burdier) of Santo Domingo, Hector Julio Custodio, Eduard Custodio, Oscar Elias Custodio of Santo Domingo, Ernesto Custodio of San José, Daylers Custodio of Hazleton, PA and Angel Antonio Custodio. She was also cherished by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home (4 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
