He was predeceased by: his father Harold Young; his grandparents, Ida Bowman, Jerry Bowman, Bessie Young and Clarence Young; and his aunts and uncles, Tinnie Cunningham, Willie Bowman, Margaret Young, Frankie Young and Roosevelt "Pee Wee" Young.
He is survived by: his mother Edna R. Bowman of New Haven; his children, Dominique Bowman and Alexis Liptrop; his adoptive daughter Lashonda; his granddaughter Malaysia Williams; his sibling Alfret Bowman of New Haven; his niece Quanella Bowman-Dingle; his aunt Jeannette Willoughby; and his cousins, Desiree Ford, Lord Taylor and Novella Gount.
