She was predeceased by : her parents, Gary Gause and Maxine Thompson; and her husband Harvey Dixon. She is survived by : her children, Steven Dixon of Norfolk, VA, Jacqueline Dixon (Reginald Greene) of East Haven, CT and Latrice Dixon of New Haven, CT.; her brother Lee-Marvin (Bessie); her grandchildren, Mark Anthony Gooding, Ke'Shaunt (Tyshawna) and Marcus Gooding (Ameia Cato); and her great grandchildren, K'Nyla, Kyrie and Serenity.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Baptist Church (1324 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
