With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Theresa Santiago of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on February 27, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Wilmot, and Mary Kate Wilmot, Sr. (Reilly); her husband Ricardo Santiago, Sr.; her children, Jodi Ann Santiago-Russell and Ricardo Santiago, Jr.; her brothers, Robert Wilmot, Jr., James, Thomas and Joseph Wilmot; and her grandsons, Edmund Jackson and Jermaine Tyson.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa Marie Gambrell, Donna Rose Santiago of New Haven, Kelly Ann Santiago of East Haven and John Vitello, III of Oakdale, CT. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Martin de Porres Church (136 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511).
