She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hawley and Arabella Hawley; her siblings, Arabella Pina (DeeDee) and Howard Hawley, Jr. (Sonny Boy) of New Haven, CT; her stepmother Queenie Hawley; and her stepsisters, Virginia Gulley and Evelena Woods.
She is survived by: her grandson Markus Smith (Shanna); her children, Raymond L. Sims, Jr., Zanniece Smith and Lionel A. Ford; her grandchildren, Patrice, Maurice, Paul, Beyonka, Markees, Breyonna, Jonathan, Garyn and Brandon; her stepsister Barbara Nelson (Willie Nelson) of New Haven, CT; and her aunt Rosie Bogan of New Haven, CT. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cousins.
