He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Owens of West Haven, CT; his stepchildren, Torres Anthony Derr, Vincent Ambros Derr of Bridgeport, CT and Brandi Monique Derr of Philadelphia, PA.; his sister Robbin Owens of New Haven, CT; his niece Robbin Benefield of New Haven, CT.; his brother Leon Barger of North Carolina; and his nephews, Nicholas Leon Barger, Jonathan Leon Barger of Florida and Leon Barger Jr. of North Carolina. He is also survived by Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McClam Funeral Home (95 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
