He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Juanita Charles (Rivera) and Aracelis Aponte Rivera; his son Miguel Angel Aponte, Jr.; his siblings, Fernando Aponte Rivera, Edita Aponte Rivera, Judith Miranda (Charles) and Laura Amelia Beltran (Aponte); and his children, Wilfredo Aponte, Madeline Pastorella (Aponte) and Victor Aponte. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
