He is survived by: his wife Sarah Lee Spruel; his children, Stacy R. Spell (Virginia T.), Shirlene Gibbs, Sydell Ladson, Verdell Achu and Carolyn Renee Spruel; his siblings, Vincent Spruel, Carlos Meekins and Lisa Thompson; his grandchildren, Stacy D., Sean A., Maya D., Symphony A., Noble S., Roy, Sarah, Paul, Jovan, Marquel, Zaria and Nicole; and his niece Brenda Charon. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
