He is survived by: his sons, Tyrese Gary and Marquette Gary; his grandchildren, Amari Gary and Zaniya Johnson; his siblings, Brenda Haynes of Hamden, Connecticut and Michael Gary of New Haven, Connecticut.; his aunt Margaret Cooke of Georgia; his sister Lisa Gray; and his friend Beverly Ward. He is also survived by four nieces and one nephew; six, great-nieces and two great-nephews.
