It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Williams (New Haven, Connecticut), born in Charlottesville, Virginia, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Williams (Hank); her parents, Jacob Gregory and Hazel Ann Gregory (Waller); and her stepson Ronald Williams (Tracy). She is survived by: her children, Jacqueline McLeod (Ian) of Brooklyn, NY and Gary D. Gregory of Smyrna, GA; her stepchildren, Ricky Phillips of Cocoa and Avis Williams of New Haven, CT; her grandchildren, Aprila Chatman (Bernie) of Rocky Hill, CT, Remington Jaz McLeod of Brooklyn, NY, Ian McLeod Jr. of Brooklyn, NY, Gary D. Gregory Jr. of New Haven, CT and Ashley Gregory of Daytona Beach, FL.; her great grandchildren, Sidney Chatman, Bernard Chatman III, Liberty Angel Gregory and Isaiah McLeod; her siblings, Agnes Blagman of Barboursville, VA, Hazel "Chris" Gregory of Willimantic, CT, David Kyles Waller of Winterville, NC, Flossie Fisher of Richmond, VA, Diane Waller Garland of Wallingford, CT, Zelda Hines of Charlottesville, VA and Gabriel Woodhouse of Virginia Beach, VA.; and her daughters-in-law, Lizz McCrea of New Haven, CT and Phyllis Thorpe Gregory of Orange, NJ.. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
