It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sigfredo Meléndez Nelson of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Meléndez and Carmen Nelson; and his brother Enrique Meléndez. He is survived by: his wife Emma Rosalina Carrasco; his children, Blanca "Sheila" Mejia of Boston, MA, Jessica Sánchez (Tony), Vanessa Suarez of New Haven, Karim Calle-Suarez (Fabián Calle) of Las Vegas, NV, Ezequias Meléndez, Misael Meléndez of Boston, Freddy Meléndez (Soraida) of Hamden, Osmar Meléndez of Florida, Dennis and Rafael Suarez of East Haven; and his siblings, Elizabeth González (Ronald) of Yorba Linda, CA, Jacqueline Guerra-Taylor of Fullerton, CA and Osmar Guerra, Jr. (Jennifer) of Santa Ana, CA. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A reception will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the CCRN.
