She was predeceased by : her parents, Deacon John W. Jeffries and Missionary Adlean Sallard Jeffries; her husband Calvin C. McNeil, Sr.; and her siblings, Ruth A. Clayton, Nannie Cheatham, John Curtis Jeffries and Joseph N. Jeffries.
She is survived by : her grandchildren, New Light Holy Chuch and Victory Temple; her children, Sylvia G. Hayes, Darlene Hayes Daniley, Christine D. Washington (Bishop Kenneth A.) and Calvin C. McNeil, Jr. (Michelle); her grandchildren, Dr. Beryl Irene Bailey, Johnetta Daniley, Demetrius Daniley, Savien Daniley, Kenneth A. Washington III, Kyle Washington (Leslie), Nicole Washington, Shirley Joyner, Denise Joyner, Caprice McNeil (Antione), Natrece Mayes, Yvette McKoy and Virginia Bailey-Barnes (Raymond); her great grandchildren, Edison Santiago, Destiny Joyner, Zyaire Burrell, Audre, Emil Santiago, Ja'lani Daniley, Nori Rogers-Daniley and Raymond Barnes, Jr.; her sister Dorothy Farley of Hampton, VA; her nieces and nephews, Dawn Saunder (Curtis), Joan Cheatham, Mia Cheatham, Jenelle Iloabanafor (Amechi), Jeannette Smith, Rosalyn Jeffries, Renee Smith, Douglass Jeffries (Karen), Anthony Farley (Miranda), Shayne Farley (Tranise), Eric Clayton (Dee), John Roberts and Trevor Jeffries; her cousins, Nannie Jeter, Leora Goens and Benjamin Sallard (Catherine); and her close friends, Carol Jenkins and Elder Baskin of Florida.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ (285 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
