He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Ryan and Ethel Vida Ryan; his siblings, Robert Ryan, Vivian Ruotolo and Barbara Benevento; and his sister-in-law Lois Ruocco.

He is survived by : his wife Theresa Ruocco Ryan; his children, Maria Ryan (Donald Sharron), Cheryl Luzzi and Thomas Ryan, Jr. (Francesca Dahlmeyer); his grandsons, Salvatore and Anthony Luzzi; his siblings, Edward Ryan, Jr. (Phyllis) and Margaret Triumfo; and his siblings-in-law, Marian (Michael) and Gennaro Ruocco.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bernadette Church (385 Townsend Ave, New Haven, CT 06512). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the All Saints Cemetery (700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
