He is survived by: his mother Maxine Sumrell; his daughter Savanna Brookshire; his brother James Sumrell Jr.; his nieces and nephews, Jamilah Rice, James Sumrell III, Andrea Jackson, Kiara Sumrell, Jamil Weatherspoon and Jaylen Weatherspoon; his cousins, Devonta Sumrell and Danny Sumrell; and his brother James Bowden (JD). He is also survived by great-nieces/nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Colonial Funerals (86 Circular Ave, Hamden, CT 06514). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
