Diane leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Diane’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Diane will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mariella Hopkins and William "Bud" Hopkins; and her nephew Eugene "Gene" J. McClure, Jr. of Waterford, Connecticut.. She is survived by: her son Matt (family: Jim); and her siblings, Patricia McClure, Rick Hopkins and Lori Hopkins Cavanaugh.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Diane's honor to the New London County Historical Society (11 Blinman Street, New London, CT 06320) or the New London Maritime Society for lighthouse preservation (150 Bank Street, New London, CT 06320).
