He was predeceased by : his father Ernest Benjamin Brown Sr.; his children, Ernest Young, Derrick Brown and Sharon Brown; and his granddaughter Letitia Brown.

He is survived by : his close friend Toni Congress; his wife Toni Congress; and his children, Myla Brown, Melissa Brown, Kutanna Brown, Travon Brown, Travis Brown and Twonne Davis. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
