Gilberto leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Gilberto’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Gilberto will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Hortencia G. Torres. He is survived by: his daughter Angelica M. Peck; his son-in-law Akil Peck; his grandchildren, Naya Peck and Arnell Peck; and his brothers, Angel Torres and Wilfredo Torres.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home (12 Ocean Ave, New London, CT 06320). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church (10 Huntington St, New London, CT 06320). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at the St. Mary's Cemetery (600 Jefferson Ave, New London, CT 06320).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arnell J. Peck College Fund.
