He is survived by: his wife Maria Grace Freitas (Janeiro); his daughter Ana Aiello; his son-in-law Joseph Aiello; and his siblings, Jacinto, Joaquim Freitas, Neves Soares, Liduina Cunha and Madalena Macedo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
