He was predeceased by: his parents, Carleton Ryder and Mabel Ryder (Mitton); and his sister Mitzie Cole. He is survived by: his wife Mary (Farrell) of Old Saybrook, Connecticut.; his children, Monica (Michael McCafferty), Clare (John Hyland), Mary Beth Ryder (Michael St. Angelo), Brendan (Megan Ryder) and Katie (Bob Petrasek); his grandchildren, Conor, Lily and Caroline McCafferty; his children, Andrew, Grace, Gavin Hyland, Isabel, Nathan Cooperman, Caleb Trost, Jacob and Benjamin Ryder; and his nephews, Christian, Scott and Todd Cole.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lillis Funeral Home (58 Bridge St, New Milford, CT 06776). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church.
