Keith Raiff Obituary

Born on May 22, 1950, Keith was a witty man who loved sharing advice and stories of his life with his friends and family. We celebrate Keith Raiff, who died on September 28, 2026, in New Milford, Connecticut, at the age of 76 after battling chronic kidney disease for ten years.

Keith attended New York University. He worked as a Good Humor Ice Cream Man on Lido Beach, New York, as a teenager, and later at E.J. Korvette in New York City, at Pioneer Audio, and at County TV in Stamford, Connecticut. At CUC International in Trumbull, Connecticut, he served as a Vice President and helped develop one of the first online shopping services, well before Amazon changed the retail landscape. Later in life, he continued his professional path in financial and trust management.

Keith was survived by his wife, Karrie (née MacKenzie) Raiff, his son, Jacob Raiff, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty (née Mitzman) Raiff and Sam Raiff, and his brothers, Stanley Raiff and Leonard Raiff.

Some of Keith’s happiest times were connected to baseball. An avid Yankees fan, he was a season ticket holder for 37 years. He loved coaching his son in baseball and giving his time to the local baseball community. He coached for the Redding Boys and Girls Club and helped found the Connecticut Rangers AAU baseball team. Over the years, he spread his love of the game to many important people in his life. Always tinkering with the guitar, Keith fondly remembered his live performances in Greenwich Village and closely followed artists such as Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Eric Clapton, and Al Di Meola.

Keith will be remembered as a problem solver with a strong personality that was unmistakably his own: proud, opinionated, stubborn, witty, and intelligent. He was a food and champagne connoisseur who appreciated fast cars and time at the beach.
A celebration of life will be held on October 18, 2026. Location to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Keith’s memory to the Redding Boys and Girls Club or the National Kidney Foundation.
