He is survived by: his wife Teresa Marie Mello; his children, Dennis Mello and Diane Worley (Gordon); the mother of his children Maria "Lu" Mello; his daughter-in-law Rachel; his stepson Sam Berardi (Laura) of Lynchburg, VA.; his grandchildren, Chris Mello, Jack Mello and Olivia Mello; his stepgrandchildren, Sabrina Levesque (Mark), Kathleen Poff (Hunter) and Bryan Berardi (Piper); his siblings, Ary Mello (Fernanda) and Marie "Nela" Ouellette (Paul); his brothers-in-law, Steve Waltke (Susan) of New London and Pat Waltke (Laura); and his close friend Thomas Riccardo (Ondrea). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
