We announce the death of Adriano T. Pires of Newington, Connecticut, who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 79. Adriano will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Adriano will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Adriano will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Adriano’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Pires and Maria Antonia Pires; and his wife Maria Conceicao Pires. He is survived by: his children, Carlos Manuel Pires and Nancy Carvalhal Anderson; his grandchildren, Alyssa Rae Thayer Anderson, Caitlyn Marie Anderson and Alex Jacob Curylo; and his pets, Lola and Olive.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Church (50 Kane Street, Fatima Square, Hartford, CT 06106).
