It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Knecht (Newington, Connecticut), who passed away on July 25, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Silverstein and Cecilia Rubinsky; and also, Philip Knecht and Maurice Maltese. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Maltese and Wendy Payton (Deby Van Ohlen); her grandchildren, Sarah (Matthew Brown) and Joseph (Alyssa Maltese); her great grandchildren, Marissa, Benjamin Brown and Alyssa; and her cousin Blossom.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Sinai (41 W Hartford Rd, Newington, CT 06111). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Temple Sianai Memorial Park (41 W Hartford Rd, Newington, CT 06111).
