It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet V. Harrigan of Newington, Connecticut, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McCarthy and Mary McCarthy (Morselli); and her siblings, Joseph McCarthy and Marie Manhart. She is survived by: her husband Joseph D. Harrigan; her son Joseph A. Harrigan of Newington; her granddaughter Katie Harrigan (Matt Miller); her great grandchild Alden Miller; her granddaughter Leanne Harrigan; her daughter Rosemary Papoosha (Eric) of Wethersfield; her granddaughter Rebecca Papoosha; her daughter Deborah Kuckel (Ken) of East Berlin; her grandchildren, Morgan Kuckel, Amy Kuckel and Aaron Kuckel; her daughter Patricia Michaud (Randy) of Berlin; her grandchild Taylor Michaud; her great grandchild Athena Roberts; and her grandchildren, Ryan Michaud and Jenna Michaud.

In her free time, she volunteered at the Arthritis Foundation and in the Gift Shop at Newington Children's Hospital.
