With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deborah Rutter of Newtown, Connecticut, born in Scarsdale, New York, who passed away on April 17, 2026 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Deborah Rutter to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katharine Eisner and Gerald Eisner; and her nephew Dawson III. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Scott" Rutter; her children, Casey and Taylor; her siblings, Kenneth, Roger (Patricia) and Carolyn (Alan); her brother-in-law Dawson Jr. (Tami); and her nieces and nephews, Brian, Matthew, Rachael and Sara.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Deb's memory to ALS United Connecticut or The ALS Association, with the hope that one day no other family has to feel this kind of loss.
