He is survived by: his wife Marcela Stapleton; his children, Caitlin Carroll (Tommy) and Kevin Stapleton; his grandson Thomas Jacob Carroll; and his siblings, James "Jim" Stapleton Jr. (Debra), Paul Stapleton and Kathleen Schultz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
