She was predeceased by: her brother David. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Devery Stickles; her children, Kate Stickles (Michael Verrino) and Brian Stickles (Erin Reilly); her granddaughter Eleanor; and her brother Alan Pierce. She is also survived by her many, many friends.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at 1 Glen Rd, Sandy Hook, CT 06482.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sheila's memory to the Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown, in honor of her lifelong commitment to sharing the joy of reading, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
