He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Moulthrop and Patricia Licht (DeRose). He is survived by: his wife Maria Wiedermann; his sons, John (Bethany) and Michael (Simone); his grandchildren, Madeline, Maeve and Jane; his sister Linda Hurlbut (Craig); and his stepmother Jeanne Moulthrop. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home (48 Grand St, Niantic, CT 06357). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agnes Church (22 Haigh Ave, Niantic, CT 06357).
