She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard McAvay and Mary McAvay; her husband Paul B. Smith; her son Kevin Smith; and her siblings, Ann Matteis and Bernard McAvay.
She is survived by: her daughter Alicia; her son-in-law Daniel Walsh of Niantic; and her grandsons, Riley, Jack and Luke Walsh. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
