It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Rigdon of Niantic, Connecticut, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesse A. Rigdon and Mary Catherine Seibert Rigdon; his wife Elizabeth A. Rigdon (Jones); his children, Kevin Rigdon (Nancy Rigdon) of Niantic, Stephen Rigdon (Michelle Rigdon) of Oakdale, CT, Michael Rigdon (Donna Rigdon) of Norfolk, MA and Mary Zalagens (Mark Zalagens) of Oakdale; his grandchildren, Michael Rigdon, Daniel Rigdon, Suzanne Rigdon, Joel Blanchard, Jessica Hansen, Casey Zalagens, William Rigdon and Timothy Rigdon; and his great grandchildren, Riley Rigdon, Evelyn Hansen, Jackson Rigdon, Evan Williams, Madison Rigdon, Josie Hansen and TJ Rigdon.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home (48 Grand St, Niantic, CT 06357). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (22 Haigh Ave, Niantic, CT 06357).
