We bid farewell to Thomas Cretella of North Branford, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 18, 2025 at the age of 89. Thomas touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Thomas touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Cretella and Maria Cretella (Paolillo); his close friend Alice Hill; and his siblings, Dominick Cretella and Luisa Robinson.

He is survived by: his daughter Laura Carbone (Joseph) of North Branford; his grandchildren, Kevin Tressel (Amber) and Amanda Tressel; and his pet Lucy.

My uncles' emotional support for my mother, their sister, Luisa, through difficult times in my early childhood, meant so much to us both. My dear late grandfather, Thomas Cretella Sr., was a prolific photographer. I inherited thousands of his slides. The attached pictures are taken from his collection. I send my heartfelt condolences.
