He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Vitale and Rosaria Vitale (DiLeo); his brothers, Andrew and Joseph C. Vitale; and his stepfather Jack Vitale.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Zambrano Vitale; his children, Anthony Vitale (Rebecca) of Cheshire, Maryann Beltz (Peter) of Woodbridge and Rosemarie Hummel (Martin) of Orange; and his grandchildren, Kathryn, Anthony (Samantha Vitale), Peter James, Julianne (Jared Beltz) and Allison (Kyle Hummel).
