He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann K. Mitchell (Worzniak); his parents, Rose Mitchell (Bertrand) and Raymond Mitchell; and his siblings, Dorothy Moulter, Robert and Raymond.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Mitchell of Madison, CT. and Gregg Mitchell (Steven Kirkby) of Sudbury, MA.; his grandchildren, Tessa, Christian Amato of Madison, CT, Joshua and Caleb Mitchell of Sudbury, MA.; his siblings, Marshall (Carol) of Hamden, CT and Nancy of Titusville, FL; and his sister-in-law Eleanor Tetreault of Wallingford, CT. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
It was his wish that any memorial gifts be donated to the Donald G. and Mary Ann K. Mitchell Scholarship Fund at Southern CT State University, 501 Crescent Street, New Haven, CT 06515.
