He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Ahern and Maryellen Pickering Ahern. He is survived by: his children, Collin, Megan of Wallingford and Kaitlin of Milford; his siblings, Kelly Bonito (Anthony) of Wallingford, James Ahern (Laura Neumon) of Branford and Kevin Ahern (Janice) of Glastonbury; his nieces and nephews, Maryellen, Joseph Bonito, Paige and Cameron Ahern; his partner's children, Stephanie Patrigani (Paul), Matthew Murray (Gillian Fox) and Brittany Gagliardi (Matthew); and his grandson Caleb Patrigani.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Benedict Nursia Parish at the Church of the Resurrection (115 Pond Hill Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492).
In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
