He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Wolfer and Regina Leyerzapf Wolfer; his brothers, Edward Colavolpe, Robert Wolfer and Joseph Wolfer; and his close friend Brodie.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dziurzynski Wolfer; his children, Richard R. Wolfer, Diane M. Turro (Tom), Susan M. Kimmel (William) and Paul R. Wolfer (Jessica); his granddaughters, Jessica and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Andrew and Dawson; and his siblings, Jean Biehl and Patricia Burkle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home (36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Church (9 Eld St, New Haven, CT 06511).
