She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. Mahon and Hazel Bannon Mahon; and her sister Eileen Goodyear. She is survived by: her brother William J. Mahon, Jr.. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory can be made to the Friends of Hamilton Reservoir Association (FHRA). FHRA is a 501c (3) public charity whose funds are used exclusively for the benefit of the maintenance and preservation of Hamilton Reservoir.
