Richard Ware Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Ware of North Stonington, Connecticut, who passed away on July 4, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Hap" Ware and Hazel Ware (Rogers); and his brother-in-law Joseph R. Selvidio. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Selvidio); his daughter Melissa Chubbuck (Marc); his grandson Marco Chubbuck; his brother Robert Ware (Carolyn); and his brothers-in-law, Michael Selvidio (Lucille) and Robert Selvidio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home (121 Main St, Westerly, RI 02891). A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
