He was predeceased by: his parents, John Popp and Helen Popp; and his wife Sandy. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Cook, Brian Popp, Michael Popp and Nicole Santamauro (Brian); his grandchildren, Matthew Edwards, Sarah Cook, Makayla Popp, Riley Popp, Samuel and Max Santamauro; and his sisters, Janet Baxter (Gregory) and Christine Rudney. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home (36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Northford Cemetery.
