He is survived by: his wife Elvira Gilbertie (Maratta); his children, Richard Gilbertie (Melanie) and Dina Phelps (Stephen); and his grandchildren, Lena, Madison, Jack, Ryan, Katherine and Virginia Barber (Ginger) of Norwalk.
