He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick S. DeVito and Theresa Mary DeVito; his brothers, Patrick A. DeVito, Michael A. DeVito and Albert P. DeVito; and his pet Cynthia.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Carol DeVito of Norwalk; his nephews, John (Marsha), Matthew (Maria) and Michael; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Charles, Zachary, Sophia and Isabella.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made towards Alzheimer's Research.
