Anthony M. Cardillo Sr. Obituary
Anthony M. Cardillo Sr., beloved husband of Irene (Jacob) Cardillo, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 26, 2026. He was born in Norwalk on August 6, 1949 to the late Mariano and Mary (Caruso) Cardillo.
After graduating high school Anthony joined the Air Force where he proudly served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 12 in Norwalk where you could often find him playing bingo. He also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing mini golf, going for walks at the beach but most of all spending time with his family. Known for his great sense of humor, you could usually find him wearing one of his many funny t-shirts.
In addition to his wife Irene, Anthony leaves behind his children: Anthony Cardillo Jr., Nicole Scraton, James Beadle, Anita Watkins, and Arthur Beadle as well as his brother Pasquale Cardillo and his sisters: Carmela Milici, Nancy VanScoy and Dolores Snyder. He also leaves behind his 15 cherished grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anthony was predeceased by his three brothers: Michael, Joseph and Thomas Cardillo.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2026 at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave. Norwalk, CT, from 10 am until the service begins at 12 noon. Immediately following the service will be a burial with military honors at St. Johns Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave. Norwalk, CT.
