She is survived by : her son Michael; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Hwang of Glastonbury, CT; her daughter Helena; her son-in-law David Newhouse of Bethesda; and her grandchildren, Rei, Malachi Hwang, Cecelia and Natasha Newhouse.

Pat St. Pierre wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Michael and Helena, How shocked I was to hear of your mother's passing. We had many lunches and talks and I considered her a wonderful friend. I will certainly miss her. Michael you and my son Tim played violin at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Pat St. Pierre”
