We bid farewell to Doris Anne McKee of Norwalk, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 12, 2025 at the age of 92. Doris Anne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Doris Anne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Doris Anne farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Riley Vantine and Hazel Vantine; her husband Robert B. McKee, III (Bob); and her brothers, Jack and Russ.
She is survived by: her sister Linda Cole of Grand Rapids, MI; and her children, Lynne of Norwalk, Kevin (Colleen) of Scarborough, ME and Robert (Tina) of Middletown, CT. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (3 Lewis St, Norwalk, CT 06851). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
After Bob was afflicted with Alzheimer's she started a non-denominational Alzheimer's Support Group at the Church that is still ongoing and a source of compassion and relief for many.
